Civic Memorial
Tributes
Civic memorial
tributes are lasting monuments designed to mark an
event or pay tribute to a special group or
individual. Again, the size and scope of the
monument can vary from plaques, monuments and
statues to a memorial tribute garden, time capsule
and walks of fame or remembrance.
The reasons for the
tributes are also unending. It could be a
school or university honoring its alumni, faculty or
students; service groups like the Boy Scouts, Girls
Scouts, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus and Shriners;
civil servants like policemen, firemen and post
office workers; and community centers, churches and
companies wanting to honor their members or
employees.
In many cases, these
Civic Memorial Tributes can become a living memorial
tribute by including a fund raising paver and
tribute program that will perpetuate the ideals and
work of the sponsoring group and/or those being
honored.
